Comparing Chinese EVs — FAQ
How do I compare the landed cost of two Chinese EVs?
Pick any two models above to see a side-by-side spec comparison, then use the landed-cost calculator to add freight, duty and VAT for your destination country — that gives you a real door-to-door price for each model, not just the factory FOB price.
What's the difference between FOB price and landed cost when comparing EVs?
FOB (free on board) is the factory price at the Chinese port before shipping. Landed cost adds ocean freight, marine insurance, import duty, VAT or consumption tax, and local clearance fees — it's what you actually pay to get the car registered in your country, and it can be 20-60% higher than FOB depending on the destination.
Can I compare a new model with a used model?
Yes, the comparison tool works across both new and used listings, so you can weigh a lower-mileage used EV against a brand-new model on price, range and battery size.
Do all the models available for comparison come in left-hand drive?
Every model listed is available in left-hand-drive configuration for export, in addition to right-hand-drive where the destination market requires it.
