What VIN and battery certification documents come with an exported Chinese EV?
Short answer:
Every export unit ships with VIN documentation and a battery specification/safety certificate — increasingly required for registration and any EV incentive at destination.
Every vehicle we export includes:
- VIN documentation — matching the chassis plate, used for customs valuation and registration.
- Battery specification certificate — chemistry, capacity (kWh) and safety compliance (UN38.3 for the cell/pack, required for ocean freight of lithium batteries).
- Battery state-of-health report — on used units, a reading of remaining capacity versus original, taken shortly before shipment.
Some markets now require the battery certificate specifically to register for local EV incentives or reduced tariffs — check your country page or ask us to confirm what's needed before you order.
