Can I get spare parts for a Chinese EV after it's exported?
Short answer:
Parts availability depends on whether the brand has an official distributor in your country — mainstream brands generally do, while low-volume marques may need parts ordered from China.
Post-export parts support falls into two tiers:
- Brands with local distribution — BYD, MG, Chery, GWM/Haval/Tank and a few others have official or semi-official distributors in many of our destination markets, so wear items and common parts are locally stockable.
- Brands without local distribution — for marques with no overseas dealer network yet, parts typically need to be ordered from China and air- or sea-freighted, which adds cost and lead time for anything beyond routine maintenance.
